This birdhouse is in my flowerbed.Dig a hole 1 1/2 feet deep. Set the post in the hole, pour dry cement halfway up the hole and water it. About an hour later, fill the hole with dirt and pack it firmly. My post was 5' tall.
The post is 3 1/2 inches wide. Cut a 2" scrap piece of wood 5" long. Screw it with 2 screws into the top of the post.
Set the birdhouse on top of the scrap wood and insert a screw from the bottom on each side of the house, into the scrap wood.
