I wanted to renew this chair, but didn’t have space for it. My son just moved into a new apartment and we re-did it for him. I would have preferred to paint it, but he likes the dark wood. He bought a pair of curtains/drapes for his front room and the only size the store had were 84″ long. His window is not that long, so we cut them and hemmed them and this is what we did with the rest of the fabric. Cut a larger square than the seat and pulling tightly, staple the fabric to the bottom of the seat. You may want to add a square of quilt batting over the old stuffing, for cleanliness, if nothing else.

We took off the old seat…the first picture….and scrubbed the chair. Then, we took the red fabric off of the seat, added some new batting and the striped material. The fourth picture is just an extra throw pillow.
