HOW TO MAKE A GRAPEVINE TREE

You can find grapevines in your backyard, a neighbors or plots of land. Turn a tomato cage over. Gather the rods that push into the ground together and gather tightly with a wire. This is the top of your tree. Gather the vines, pull all leaves off and put the vines into a large container of water. They are easier to work with when they are wet.
Start top or bottom, wire a long piece of vine to your starting point and tightly wind it around the cage. To make your tree last longer, wrap your vines thick and heavy. Secure with wire. Connect the end of the vine to a strip of metal, inserting your new wrapping vine in the same connection. Continue until cage is covered. Set in the sun to dry.
Decorate the tree, using any of the following.
Twinkle lights Baby’s Breath or German Statice Dried apples, oranges or lemon slices-how to on next post rusty bells, stars or hearts Cinnamon sticks Small pine cones small resin pumpkins Small silk sunflowers homespun fabric, ripped into strips for ties, ribbon, raffia or twine drops of scented oil.
