I am a big fan of use what you have and refurbishing things. Picture 1....I bought the base of this buffet at a yard sale for $35.00. I knew the base is the hard part to build, and I knew my husband could make it over like I wanted.Pictures 2 and 3... (I love the partial picture of him with no shirt on in front of the world!) He built shelves to the ceiling and added a back to the shelves. Built and primed for painting.
Picture 4 is the end result. Picture 5 is my fruit dishes and my clutter!
First, i painted the hutch and shelves with primer. Then I added 2 coats of good latex paint. I also added new knobs and handles.
