In a basket, add a cookie sheet, Betty Crocker cookie mixes, measuring spoons, cups, a rubber spatula, over mitts, pot holders, a muffin pan and mixes, dish towels, dish cloths or an oven timer. Whatever you do, whatever you can afford.
Make a basket with a bottle of dish soap, a spray cleaner, brillo pads, windex, paper towels, dish towels and cloths or sponges. This could be for a young person and their first apartment.
Make a basket with several boxes of flavored teas, a pretty cup and saucer, a spoon, a pretty linen napkin, a tea-pot, a small tussie mussie, a box of sugar cubes or a box of scone mix.
How about one with a lullaby C.D. homemade by you, a teething rings, socks, pacifier, baby facecloths, a towel or a story book.
Try one with a book on Scents, a few bottles of essential oil, a bottle of carrier oil (jojoba oil), teaspoons, a set of measuring cups, a bath bag (see post) filled with a mix and a recipe tag attached, a bath pillow, a soothing C.D. you made yourself, a magazine or a luxury bar of soap, a candle or body wash.
For a guy, try a basket with screwdrivers, a tape measure, a travel mug, a map of his state, paper and a pen, spray car fragrance or a fragrance bag….cut 2 pieces of fabric 8×8. Right sides together, sew around 3 sides. Turn. Fill with some stuffing, cedar wood pet bed shavings and a few drops of cedar wood oil. Sew closed….a pair of pliers or jumper cables.
How about a basket with placements, hand towels, a hot pad, coasters, a candle, thick socks, a blank journal and a pretty pen, bookmarks or a Bible.
If you are a pet lover, fill a basket with treats and toys.
For Mom or Dad, Grandma or Grandpa…ask each family member to add a memory. Could be a picture, a song, a recipe, a story or a book they used to read to you.
For the flu….a bag of cough drops, a box of kleenex, a thermometer, a book, soft music or a Bible. If you have a Dollar Tree close to you, they sell great C.D.’s of sweet, healing, quiet, sleepy music. They also sell the sounds of nature for children and fussy babies.
Kids….a movie, C.D., McDonald coupons, a game, a bank with a little money in it, a pair of p.j.’s or socks.
