CREATE YOUR LAUNDRY AREA

Do your laundry one day a week, instead of 7 and create a laundry room that makes it easy to do just that.
Wherever your washer and dryer are, add a corner for yourself.
Add:
A comfortable chair.
A table next to it with a lamp on it.
Books, your Bible, a journal, a sewing or crocheting project and a c.d. player.
Take a cup of coffee, or tea and bring your cell phone.
Put pictures on the wall and spruce up the ironing area. Decorate your area. Make it bright and pretty. Add a pretty area rug and turn on the lights. If you have washboards, old irons or an old ironing board, add them for decoration. Look around the thrift stores for laundry room signs.
If you are in a basement, keep an eye open for bamboo shades and staple them on the ceiling in your area (careful of the wires overhead). Have a good place to hang clothes on hangers.
Go there, one day a week and do all of your laundry. You are already there, so when the dryer stops, you can hang a lot of clothes that you would otherwise have to iron. Make sure each family member has their own laundry basket, that they can collect and put their clothes away. Ask the older children to carry the baskets and help the little ones.
