I was going to make a bathroom vanity from an old dresser, but moved to a house where it does not fit. If you are lucky enough to have to replace a sink and can find one of these…create your bathroom. Find a sink that will sit in the top. Cut the hole. Decide if the drawers need overhauling for the water pipes and if you are going to rebuild the top drawer and use it for storage or keep it permanently closed. You may have to cut out parts of the back of the drawers, but adding pieces of wood to give the pipes room, can still leave some of the area intact. Put SEVERAL coats of polyurethane on the vanity, especially the top, to waterproof your piece. If you need new feet, or handles, now is the time to replace them. You will have to have someone do the plumbing for you, but you can do a lot of the work to getting the piece ready. Add victorian inspired faucets, towels racks, light fixtures, bath towels, waste can and a shower curtain. Find a silver plated brush and mirror , a soap dish, victorian pictures and rugs
